Lighthouse Award - Hilton Hotels

Lighthouse Awards are given each year to recognize the best hotels across all brands in the Hilton family. The Hampton brand selects the top five Hampton Inn hotels and the top two Hampton & Suites hotels to be honored as Lighthouse Award winners.

The Lighthouse Award is presented to hotels that are in the top 5% for the Hampton Brand in Total Quality Scores (TQS). TQS measures three main components: Quality Assurance Scores, Overall Accommodations and Overall Service. Scores are determined by random surveys sent to hotel guests after they stay in our hotels.

Platinum Award - Choice Hotels

In 2007 and 2006, the Sleep Inn Hanes Mall - Winston-Salem, NC received the prestigious Platinum Award from the Choice Hotel system. Only 99 Choice Hotels and 11 Sleep Inns from 3,000 in the system received the award. The Sleep Inn-Hanes Mall was one of two in the entire Southeast region to be recognized.

This award is presented to hotels that have achieved excellent guest satisfaction scores, high inspection scores, are highly marked as “likely to recommend” and ranked in the top 5% of their brand.

Inn of the Year - Choice Hotels

Sleep Inn Hanes Mall - Winston-Salem, NC earned the 2006 Inn of the Year award from Choice Hotels International. Choice hotels annually presents the Inn of the Year award to hotels that demonstrate lodging excellence.

The best of each brand is selected by reviewing each property’s guest satisfaction scores, which are calculated using surveys that are emailed to guests within 48-72 hours of checkout, as well as their Quality Assurance Review scores. The hotels selected as Inn of the Year winners, all of which were ranked as one of the top five hotels within their brand, represent the properties that are most committed to customer satisfaction.
